Chapter 3 - Make CF Style Your Value Statement

Understanding the Difference Between Fashion and Style and Vanity Versus Value

In this chapter we discuss purchasing for value rather than vanity. Two big takeaways:

1) It is imperative to buy classic pieces so that you can wear them in a variety of ways, then you can rest in the knowledge that your outfits won't go out of "fashion".

2) Understand that buying the best quality you can afford is not being vain, but being a wise steward of your resources, so that your clothing lasts a long time.

Here are a few examples of value purchasing:

A great little black dress can be worn by everyone at any age!

You cannot go wrong with a white shirt and dark denim. A million outfits can be yours with these two building blocks of great style.

Clara is wearing two great classic pieces: the classic denim jacket and a fabulous sequined pencil skirt. Depending on how you accessorize, the look can go from day to evening!

You can dress up or dress down a LBD (Little Black dress)
